This was a studio lead by visual designer Céline Lamée inspired by the graduation show theme Significant Others, as a design challenge to encourage a critical exploration of the possibility of design to be both a tool and embodiment of value making.  同题参见

A group of 21 second year students where given the assignment to design three banknotes as vessels and expression of personal values.  同题参见

The students were therefore asked to use this ubiquitous albeit fast disappearing social object, the physical banknote that in China is rapidly giving way to digital currency, as a vehicle for the dissemination of shared, immanent values they’d believe endangered and worth memorializing in this archetypal modern object.

Students responded with concepts that explored the urgency of social issues such as the pressure to perform and the fast pace of urban life, the lack of meaningful communication and eroding family ties, as well as themes on environmental and health-related care, and the celebration of diversity preserved among others in regional linguistic customs.
