Our speakers included Jenny Chou and Catherine McMahon from ATLAS Studio, a design and architecture atelier engaged in projects that range from objects- to place-making, in an expansive practice active in both urban and rural areas that often centres on the exploration of grassroots culture and material heritage based on participatory, research-driven processes whose outcomes range in spatial and artisanal products.

Rania Ho is artist, curator and the co-founder of the seminal Beijing independent art space Arrow Factory, her creative work encompasses the development of technological apparatuses and performative enactments that mobilise critique and self-doubt through often humorous and demystifying conceptual trickery. 

Ruben Lundgren, a photographer, curator and bookmaker based between China and Europe, graduated from the Central Academyof Fine Arts in Beijing and worked as part of the photographers duo WassinkLundgren. As they put it “Their photography and film projects shift mundane, often unnoticeable, everyday occurrences into visually compelling and gently amusing observations of the world around us.” Among many others, Ruben together with Martin Parr co-edited The Chinese Photobook.
